MOORE, OKLA. — Gen. Frank Grass of the National Guard is scheduled to visit Oklahoma to thank the stateís National Guard members for their work after the deadly tornado in Moore.
Grass serves as chief of the National Guard Bureau. He is scheduled to appear Tuesday alongside Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin.
The Oklahoma National Guard says Grass will take a walking tour of the devastated Plaza Towers neighborhood before answering questions from the media.
As chief of the National Guard, Grass is the official channel of communication between the Department of Defense and the countryís governors and adjutant generals.
