The promotion boards for Air Force Reserve colonels have been postponed until early November.
The O-6 boards, which had been scheduled for this week, will now be held Nov. 4 to 9, the Air Reserve Personnel Center said Oct. 4. The delayed start will also delay the release of the results, which the center said usually come six to eight weeks after the boards.
Officer selection records will now be extracted for the boards on Oct. 29, and letters to the boards containing additional documents or recommendations will now be due Nov. 3.
But the Air Force Reserve said it is not changing the date candidates must have been promoted to lieutenant colonel to be eligible for promotion. That date remains Sept. 30, 2009.
The change in schedule affects line and nonline colonel promotion boards, special boards and special selection boards.
