■ San Francisco’s Swords to Plowshares, which is launching the Women Veterans NetWork to help female vets transition to civilian life with care that addresses mental and physical health and provides mentors and full-day workforce development retreats.

■ Worcester, Mass.-based Veterans Inc., whose Women Veterans Employment & Training program serves homeless female veterans or those at risk of being homeless, matching candidates with jobs through a network of employers, and providing veterans with access to online job training and job searches.

■ Pittsburgh’s Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, whose Project Journey program provides female veterans with emergency resources, including career skills assessment, coaching, resume preparation and job placement.

■ Chicago’s Women’s Business Development Center, whose Woman Vetrepreneurship Program offers capital, business and financial education, and support for female veterans to establish and operate a sustainable small business.
