COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Authorities say a soldier from South Carolina has been stabbed to death near Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports 25-year-old Brandon Alfonzo Jones died Tuesday after a disturbance at an apartment complex near Fort Carson.

Police say no arrests have been made.

The Army says Jones was from Columbia, S.C., and was assigned to the 43rd Sustainment Brigade, part of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson.

The military says he joined the Army in March 2012 and completed a one-year deployment to Afghanistan in August.
