FORT HOOD, TEXAS — Three soldiers critically wounded in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood now appear to be out of imminent danger.

Scott & White Memorial Hospital officials in nearby Temple say the three were upgraded Thursday from critical to serious condition and are now the only casualties remain there from the Wednesday rampage.

Four died in the Wednesday rampage. Just seven of the other 16 injured remained hospitalized Thursday afternoon after Scott & White discharged four patients Wednesday.

Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, Fort Hood commander, says three remain in Darnall Army Community Hospital at Fort Hood. He didn't describe their conditions, but doctors had said the most severely wounded went to Scott & White.
