The Chittenden County prosecutor plans to discuss the case of Kryn Miner, an Army veteran who was shot and killed by a relative after Miner had threatened family members with a gun.
Miner, who had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, was shot April 26 in Essex. He died of multiple gunshot wounds to his head, neck and torso.
No one has been charged in the shooting.
Miner held the position of chief warrant officer 2 and was assigned to the headquarters company of the Guard’s 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
A press conference is planned Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the office of the Chittenden County state’s attorney in Burlington to discuss the case.
