A swatch of Scorpion camouflage. The Army is adopting a variation of this camo to replace the Universal Camouflage Pattern on ACUs. ()
The Army has picked a new camo pattern: Scorpion W2 is coming to a closet near you.
That’s big news for soldiers who are done with the Universal Camouflage Pattern (some half-jokingly claim it only works in a gravel parking lot, or on the moon).
The new pattern, meanwhile, looks a little like something you’ve worn to Afghanistan lately (ahem, MultiCam).
So we want to hear what you think about the Army’s latest camo decision.
Do you like Scorpion? If you prefer another pattern, which one? And are there any fans of UCP out there ... anybody?
While you’re at it, how about the rest of your combat uniform: Your rank insignia, Velcro, pockets, the fact that you can’t roll up your sleeves in summer. Does the fabric work for you, and are the pants tough enough?
