FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Hoke County man has been arrested and charged with killing a Fort Bragg soldier during a break-in at his home last October.
Twenty-six-year-old Donovan Lamar Moon of Lumber Bridge has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 35-year-old Sean Wells.
Police are looking for a second man who was with Moon that night.
Police said two men wearing masks and carrying guns entered Wells’ home through an unlocked door on Oct. 7. Police say Wells’ wife and their 4-year-old son were forced into another room. Investigators say the men shot Wells and left in his wife’s car.
Moon also is charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count of first-degree burglary, armed robbery and conspiracy.
It was not clear if he has an attorney.
