The wait is almost over.

The much anticipated results of the chief selection board are coming out, and will have exciting news for nearly 4,000 first classes.

Navy Times will publish the complete list of selectees Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

There are 3,923 available quotas and 16,283 sailors eligible for advancement to chief petty officer. The overall advancement rate, 24.1 percent, ticked down by 2.6 percentage points from last year. But it is still above the 10-year average.
