The Films: "Operation Route 66" and "2 Sides Project"

The Breakdown: The notion of a military journey may muster thoughts of fighting in a far-off land, but not every trip involving service requires combat.

  • "Operation Route 66" follows a father and son with no military connections who hit the road on their motorcycles to discover more about those who don the uniform -- especially the hundreds of combat veterans who commit suicide each month.
  • "2 Sides Project" follows children of American and Vietnam troops who fell during the Vietnam War. It joins American family members as they revisit the final steps of their loved ones and meet those whose fathers gave all on the opposite side of the battlefield.
