You may have read about the advanced technologies being used by drug cartels in the latest issue of Proceedings Magazine (May 2009 issue, “Coast Guard in Review”), but I’ll bet you haven’t seen this incredible documentary from VBS.TV. The five part video series shows how drug runners have become more sophisticated over the years, and how the counter-drug effort has had an impact. As our efforts improve to detect the smugglers, the cartels adjust to stay one step ahead of the game. I was transfixed. Each segment only lasts about five minutes.
