A nice touch by USS CHUNG-HOON (DDG 93)

The crew of USS CHUNG-HOON participated in a wreath laying ceremony and 21 gun salute in memory of the 134 Sailors killed during the fire aboard USS FORRESTAL (CV 59) forty-four years ago today. The ship was sailing in the vicinity of the actual fire.

    Seems like yesterday and we always think of the 134 men we lost that day!

    RVAH-11 (RA-5C Vigilante Squadron) aboard USS Forrestal (CVA-59) in 1967 and USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) in 1967 and 1968 in Vietnam.
