Sales workshop discounts for veterans

Sales performance improvement firm Huthwaite is offering half-price enrollment fees to honorably discharged veterans and current reservists for three of its sales workshops through the end of this year.

The programs include Huthwaite’s SPIN Selling, Buyer-Focused Prospecting and Negotiating Successful Solutions workshop series. The discounts are intended to salute military personnel for their service and to help them jumpstart sales careers, said Steve Warner, Huthwaite’s vice president of marketing and Marine Corps veteran.

“The three-part series is specifically designed to impart the skills, tools and strategies necessary to gain a competitive edge, shorten sales cycles and close more business,” according to a Huthwaite news release. It’s possible to sign up for one, two or all three of the workshops.

• SPIN Selling: The two-day workshop is Huthwaite’s most popular sales training course. It helps salespeople distinguish themselves in an “increasingly competitive and commoditized market. “Participants learn to plan and conduct sales calls that uncover and develop real customer needs, win commitments and shorten sales cycles,” according to the news release.

Cost: $797 for veterans and reservists, 50 percent off the standard price of $1,595.

• Buyer-Focused Prospecting: This one-day workshop teaches participants to connect with senior-level decision-makers in buying by “employing short, compelling and specific messaging and by credentialing themselves through their knowledge of customer business issues.”

Cost: $447 for veterans and reservists, 50 percent off the standard price of $895.

• Negotiating Successful Solutions: The two-day workshop explores the distinctions between selling and negotiating — “how to create the conditions necessary for successful negotiations, build customer needs to reduce the demand for concessions and choose the right negotiating techniques appropriate to each situation.”

Cost: $748 for veterans and reservists, 50 percent off the standard price of $1,495.

Veterans must provide a copy of form DD-214, verifying your honorable discharge, when registering.
