Rank on the phone
I like knowing the rank of the person I am talking to on the phone. If I call the MPF for to find a lost EPR (I did this yesterday) and they answer the phone SSgt XXXX that is fine, or Sergeant XXXX which is also fine. However, yesterday I spoke with TSgt XXXX and to be quite honest with you I felt good knowing that I was talking to an E-6 about my problem.

If you’re polite and professional, your exact rank is irrelevant to me. The only difference i am looking for when i call is for the Amn or NCO title. Amn can handle 95% of any office issue i have or need done and NCO is who i go to when i need something done priority for a legitimate reason, or when i believe the problem i have will be something that due to sensitivity needs to be handled by an NCO.

Schwartz’s first year
Nobody gets everything right 100% of the time, but at least he came in with at least a partial mandate, and overall (albeit slowly) getting back on track. I haven’t felt better about a CSAF since Gen. Fogleman. The others fiddled while the USAF burned.

It’s been a year. Let’s see:
Blues on Monday — Why? PT testing 2X a year, and the new charts are harder than the old ones — Why? We are going to outsource integrity. Civilian PT test proctors — Why? ABUs still suck, and although there are lightweight versions available, I can’t wear them — Why? More ILO tours — Why?
Thanks for killing off the new service coat. We don’t need a new one. Stopping the F-22 madness is a good thing as well. Fixing the nuclear thing goes without saying.
Suggestion — Fire everyone on the Uniform Board, right now. Put the new CMSAF in charge of hiring new people for the Uniform Board. I’m sure the persistent issues will be fixed quickly.
