TRASH-TALKING AIRMAN
It is flattering that airmen would compare themselves physically to Marines. Think about it. When you are on top, everyone wants to be you.

Comparing Air Force physical training to the Marines’ is like comparing PeeWee Herman to the Hulk. We — the Air Force — should take pride in what we are good at. Putting bombs on target. You don’t have to be the Hulk to do that, but you need to be able to think with a high degree of technical knowledge. Know who you are and be proud of it.

God forbid someone in the AF has a little bit of pride in what we do and what he does. You have got to be kidding me. There are much more pressing issues in the four branches of the military than a training instructor who makes a comment that some may take offense to. Get a grip.

There is no way an airman coming out of Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, would have the same level of fitness as a Marine coming out of Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego or Parris Island, S.C.

If you think that the Air Force is more in shape than the Marine Corps, report for drug testing immediately and then for out-processing.

ROE COSTING LIVES
The inability to call in our much-vaunted and much-needed air power or artillery in any necessary situation ties the hands of our ground fighters and denies them the force needed to survive.
— Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Dave Butson (ret.)

The bad guys don’t use rules of engagement — neither should we. Use every non-nuclear tactic, weapon, and strategy we have to finish this.
