A hefty lineup of films is set for the third annual GI Film Festival, scheduled for May 12-18 at various venues around Washington. The festival, which has grown quickly in its brief existence, will screen 47 films this year, some the work of active-duty members and veterans.
Included are 16 feature-length films, two major studio films and more than two dozen short films touching on the Civil War, World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars and the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tickets are $10 for premiere films and $50 for primetime events, which include film screenings and receptions. Full passes for access to all screenings and primetime events are $250.
Details are online at http://www.gifilmfestival.com/.
