PT uniforms - not available?!?

I've been trying to purchase a pair of PT uniform pants and a couple of shirts for almost 5 months! The AAFES website has had them "unavailable" or on "backorder" since July! Recently the site has them unavailable until February 2009. Clothing sales stores don't have any either...I called a bunch of them. That is, they don't have the "smaller" sizes like Small, Medium, Large or X-large.
I had this same problem with dress uniforms last year...it took almost 4 months to get a skirt! and have also waited for several weeks for ACU items.
How are we supposed have the "mandatory" uniform items if they aren't available for purchase?

Get the numbers for every MCSS and start calling away. Eventually you will find what you need. Sorry to be so straightforward, but it may take a few hours to get what you need. Start with the MCSS at Fort Sill, I walked in yesterday and they have what you need. (I just saved you some time, your welcome!) :D

Try ranger joes or us cav websites. they should have them on there as well.

don't feel to bad about not being able to buy the PT uniform. My son who is currently in AIT hasn't even been issued the jacket and pants because they are not in stock. He is checking the MCSS at Ft. Jackson to see if they have them but as of now none yet.

I had the same issue this time last year. I had the wrong size PT pants issued, did not realize it until I left FT Jackson. And by the time I got to FT Sill they were all out of stock and not available for two more months. Luckily by the time I arrived at my new duty station after a month of leave they were back in stock. Lame.
