And yet, I can find no reference to any award given to her for overpowering her captors and running - barefoot - 30 miles to freedom. Hmmmmmm, I wonder why?

Unfortunately any argument made about her 2 MSMs as a new major is irrelevant... that simply depends on who you worked for (many Captains get MSMs if working for senior officers) or if your wing commander is stingy or strict... i.e. some have a real problem giving an MSM to anyone not a field grade officer or SNCO, yet others don't necessarily have that rule... It's much too varied to put much stock in.
As for the awards for her time and experience overseas... that is a totally different question and definitely raises many more than it answers.

How long was this broad in for again? I find it highly unlikely she has been to enough assigments as a new Major to qualify for THAT many decs....but I could def be wrong

I think that Jill Metzger threads will replace the PT Threads that everyone is sick and tired of reading about ~ !
Heh. I should start a thread called "I Love Jill Metzger" and devote it to this special lady, just for shits n' grins. I'd love to see Will Powers' reaction on that one!

Lies.
I loved her first
But seriously,
At the same time in my career (manpower/personnnel....just like Jill), I had earned a AFCM with 5 OLCs and a JSCM. 2 of those AFMCs should have been MSMs for the level of work I was doing but because I was a Capt, they were downgraded to AFCMs by the Wing/CC.
Not sure how she swung 2 MSMs prior to pinning on Major, but that says to me that she had someone higher up looking out for her.
