Greetings, so here I am about 45 days before I ship to Fort Leonard Wood, MO and I still have no clue what I can and can not take with me there.... So my question is... What can I bring(or better what shouldn't I bring) and what kind of experience should I look to encounter...

I voted "clueless" because as my partner in crime would say I'm just a civvie born with a silver spoon in my mouth. :D

wow! i can still remember everything all over again...from meps to basic training....Don't worry too much...and don't overpack...just get whatever you will be needing for your 2 day stay at the hotel before you leave out for basic. If you do overpack then you will be carrying all your bags when you get their...including your green duffle bag which would be issued to you that would be filled with your first initial stuffs which is what the military will issue you..do not take any liquid bottles more than 3 oz. (plane regs.) you will have to trash them.ask your recruiter for a packing list and only get what is said on the packing list.Besides that do not worry a lot. when you get there you will be issued a military credit card that you worth 300.00 i think that you will be using during your time being in basic training...besides that i'm pretty sure you will have a lot of great experiences in basic training...HooAH! have fun and welcome abroad...
