OK to send thank-you gift to recruiter?

I've recently joined the Navy in a medical scholarship program. My recruiter was and continues to be very helpful, going out of her way to help.
Is it acceptable for me to send her a thank-you gift? (appropriate, small, non-monetary of course)

Sure. Recruiters get very little input after someone ships out, and they have very stressful jobs. I'm sure a little thank you would give them a lot of job satisfaction. As long as it is professional.
