Hi, there

I was recycled form BOLC III class to the follow-on class. I got an e-mail from eArmyU saying my Tuition Assistance is on hold due to the flag. I don't know what type of flag it is. I was never counseled and never seen any DA 268 I looked through AR 600-8-2, and I did not find that type of flag that I could be possibly flagged with. I did not do any adverse action or what not.

Please advise if I can appeal the flag

Interesting......I would ponder that if you recycle in BOLC III....then you need to concentrate on the BOLC Course more than eArmyU.

I imagine since the last rewrite of 8-2, there are more "flagable" scenarios now. The flag should go away after your completion of BOLC.

What was the cause of the recycle?? Academic or profile (i.e. bereavement leave, illness etc)?? If it was academic, you have your answer......concentrate on passing BOLC before anything else. You are lucky we need Officers.....it used to be most recycles were shown the door.

Maybe he needs a good enlisted mentor to teach him how to be a commissioned officer in a "team command" PC military. Have to get our enlisted generals that 'share" command on this ASAP....

Change we can live with....

you need to brush up on your form numbers to start with, couselings are done on a DA 4856, and the response above is correct. What in god's name are you doing studying on other courses while in BOLC. Start prioritizing your efforts and be a professional officers for peet's sake, your soldiers deserve a competent officer, not one distracted by self priorities.

All joking aside, Im not certain they get muchofficer training at BOLC III. I think they are actually buffing floors for 1SGs there. I know they are not treated as officers at these courses so does any of it really matter? The TRADOC general is a joke...
