Greetings. I'm actually an Aviation Computer Science (essentially equiavalent to a CS undergrad major) and am a senior and seriously considering a career as an Air Force Officer. I was just wondering what specific job in the Air Force I would be eligible for.
I realize there is a specific job for the enlisted folk that utilizes my skill set but to be honest, I would rather be managing than actually coding anyway (although I wouldn't mind doing the latter).
As a side note, I also have a minor in Management Information Systems and have a commercial pilot certificate, but am interested in a computer science related position (I'll try for a flight slot but I'm not counting on it).
If I don't choose the military (although I'm pretty set on joining), I would pursue a Systems/Business Analyst position. A final question I have is: would I know my job prior to going to OCS? or is it still up in the air after signing on the dotted line? Thanks so much for your time. Any replies/opinions are welcome.
