Are those listed as IA jobs on their website? https://www.cmsid.navy.mil/
I was brought there through another link from NKO but it just looks like regular orders with not much about it. I would love to TAD one of those places and get some AIP :)

Not sure what you are asking but the ECRC on there are IA billets. I went to afghanistan from 07-08 and there was no AIP there (maybe HOA?) but you do get the regular combat pay like Hazardous duty, Danger pay, tax free(not really pay but you save), and FSA depending if you have dependants. I also got to keep my BAH,BAS and COLA for Hawaii which was nice...you also save because you arent spending regular esxpenses like food and gas for your car...atleast for you if you arent married, but i volunteered out of the command, not sure how that would work through CMSID though

They should be GSA billets from what I have seen here. Sailors are suppose to do one in between PCS orders now. I.A. are billets filled after you get to your duty station and get volun-TOLD to go. Pick your poison and be ready for life in the Army.

oh yea, I had a blast out there too. I still talk to the guys I was on a team with. You may not have the same experience but Army senior people are waaaaay easier to work with then Navy. They really do not look at you as a rank(only e5 in a team full of 03/E7), they look at you as What You Can Do! and If you're squared away then youre good to go. for me I was a combat medic on a 4 man afghan mentor team attached to an afghan soldier company. I lived, ate, slept(in the same parking lot sized base) with my afghan counterparts. If you are something besides HM what I saw them(IT/ET/PS/GSM) do was a lot of resupply convoys when they werent fixing up humvee's or working on computers and stuff. Ofcourse this was just in afghanistan so it may be a lot different for you if you decide to go kuw/hoa. I do recommend you go to Kuwait If you do choose to or have to deploy.
