I am trying to join the Army as an Officer and met with someone yesterday who showed me around the base and discussed my options as an Officer as well as the entry process. I have been reading up on different sites and it says there is a possibility of getting a bonus when you get in as an Officer but the person I met said he was not sure if they offered any at this time. Is this true and how can I go about making sure that I will receive a bonus as well as repayment of my student loans? Also what possibilities do I have to choose what I want to become while in the Army - intelligence, logistics, etc...
Any suggestions are appreciated.....:)

1. No bonus and no loan repayment. You would have to come in enlisted to get either of those. Congress dictates extras for officers and some how it is illegal to give officers that during enlistment.
2. As a male you get ten choices of branches ie. intell, infantry etc. You have to list them in the order of preference for you. Then if you meet all criteria they will place you in the first one on your list that has openings.
3. If this is someting you want to do go down and talk to a local recruiter. They will be glad to help you and give you all of the information about ocs and what the process and paperwork would be.
Good Luck.

Just curious mr louie, but while you were getting that college degree, which I presume you have, were you not taught how to do some research?
