I'AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO ENLIST i FAILED ON MY MARIJUANA TEST BUT MY RECURITER SAID IT WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT and to try again in 6 months since they are not accepting dat waivers. The question I had was when I enlist will they hold the negative test over me? Will it effect my security clearance in the future? i'am trying to go for a 25 series MOS and i want to make sure this mess up is not going to effect me my whole life! Please repond......Thanks!

here's some advice... STOP SMOKING DOPE! Why the ()*^&$#^_)* would you attempt to join the military having recently smoked?
Will they hold it against you... probably not, IF you are completely homest and don't lie. Lying will get you in bigger trouble than whatever you did that you feel the need to lie about. Especially when it comes to clearance issues.
Get cleaned up and start living right... or find another career.

I had quit smoking a couple months ago and had made a mistake but I thought I was clean and have snce never touched the stuff, but now I'am paying the price and waiting for my chance to serve. Since i failed my test my recruiter wouldnt give me an anwser, like I said I just dont want this to effect me in my career in the army. I want to make sure this will not effect my bility to get a security clearnece, any advise would help.

Oh well. you can want in one hand and....well you know in the other. YOUR decision is biting you in the @$$ and you have no one to blame but yourself. If I were your recruter, you would never hear from me again. You wasted your recruiter's time and government money because you just couldn't last without pot. and you think this won't affect your future? you must really have no clue at all do you?

From what I know, a marijuana waiver will get you another chance to enlist, but it'll still be a disqualifier for high security clearance.
