With all respects for those who stand up and defend this country.
I am going to have my permanent card and become US permanent resident soon (in the next 2 months or so).
I have a desire and strong will to serve in Navy and actually do some researches.
I've just had a talk with a recruiter and he can't tell me which position will be available to permanent residents (jobs that don't require any security clearance)
Can someone in this forum tell me what kind of job in Navy that doesn't require security clearance please?
I almost finished my bachelor degree and want to pursue a master degree and by joining Navy, I hope they will pay for my tuition fees.
The recruiter told me that I can apply for US citizenship 1 year after i become active and then one more year later, I can ask for a job change (jobs that I previously can't enroll)
Most jobs in Navy requires security clearance and you have to be US citizen.
In short, can someone tell me what jobs a permanent resident in Navy can do and can he files a request to change job after 2 years of active service?
