I am 21 and a mother of 2 and I signed up for the army. I hardly run. That is my weakest thing. I can do the push ups and sit ups that they recommend but not the 2 miles time. I have ran out of time to try to build my running up. I leave on the 25 of August. I go to Ft. Jackson and I heard it is easy there. People here at Bragg call it Relaxin' Jackson. I want to do my best to graduate and become a soldier and to better my kids life but I am afraid I won't be able to do it. Will they build me up to it are just completly send me home. Please help.

How are you out of time? You leave in 13 days. That's 13 days of running for you to do.
I joined the Air Force two years ago. Before that, I could not run a half mile. Now I can run 13 miles without stopping.
It's about how bad you want it. If you want it, work at it. I suggest you start running daily.

I was 24 when I joined and, after the first APFT, I was the slowest in the platoon. Failed all the APFT, on the run, until the end. I was showing improvement after each one. You will be doing alot of running. All that 'Relaxin' Jackson' is nonsense. It was called that when I was there, way back when. They do plenty of running but make sure you get something out of it. Do not doubt yourself. You will not have a chance if you do. Trust me....they WILL build you up. Just erase all doubts before you go and tell yourself you will do it. Good luck.
