You can but I think the most you can do is 2 weeks. Of course, I don't know how things are run in AIT anymore. I don't think the Army likes to let Soldiers go in the hole that much, that early in the contract. You do your leave paperwork towards the end of your AIT cycle. You also have to keep in mind you have to pass the your class. If not, you will get recycled/reclassed and then you will have to start over in your MOS or in another and that will defitnitely will mess up your wedding. It's been awhile since I graduated Ft. Sam and things have changed since then. Hopefully, someone else reading this will add to it. Good luck.

Majority of the time you will not be able tot ake 30 days of leave all at one time uless you have a very vaid reason. Since you are just coming into the service, you will be expected to complete your AIT. Think of AIT as schooling because thas exactly what it is. If you take non emergency leave during school then you will have to come back and begin from day 1. What I have seen of people taking 30 days of leave at one time s when coming back from deployment to Iraq of Afghanstain, one has an excess of 60 or more days of leave saved up to which it becomes a us eof lose them and then if it is a life emergency, i.e. death of immdieat family member, parents, already spouse, brothers/sisters. You might be able to file for leave enroute to yuor first duty station after you complete AIT but more than likely not for 30 days at a time.
