I need some big help and advice on picking my 7 AFJSC's. I've narrowed it down to these 8 jobs and was wanting to know how common or how rare it is to get any of them. I figured if some of these were very rare and non needed jobs then I shouldn't even list them as one of my 7 jobs.
Afsc: 2e231 Job Title: Elec Computer & Switching Sys Apprentice
Afsc: 3c031 Job Title: Communications-computer Sys Ops Apprentice
Afsc: 3e531 Job Title: Engineering Apprentice
Afsc: 2e134 Job Title: Visual Imagery & Intrusion Detection Sys Apr
Afsc: 1n131 Job Title: Imagery Interpreter Apprentice
Afsc: 2e031 Job Title: Ground Radar System Apprentice
Afsc: 2a031 Job Title: Avionics Test Stn And Cmpnt Apprentice
Afsc: 2a533 Job Title: Bomber Avionics Systems Apprentice
Afsc: 2e131 Job Title: Satellite And Wideband Comm Equipment Apr
I also had some other jobs that I liked but I figured they we're very rare to get.
AFSC: 4H031 JOB TITLE: CARDIOPULMONARY LABORATORY APPRENTICE
AFSC: 4J032 JOB TITLE: PHYSICAL THERAPY APPRENTICE
AFSC: 4P031 JOB TITLE: PHARMACY APPRENTICE
AFSC: 4R031 JOB TITLE: DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING APPRENTICE
AFSC: 4Y031 JOB TITLE: DENTAL ASSISTANT APPRENTICE
AFSC: 6F031 JOB TITLE: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT APPRENTICE
AFSC: 1N531 JOB TITLE: ELECTRONIC SIGNALS INTEL EXPLOITATION APR
AFSC:3N032 JOB TITLE:RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING APPRENTICE
AFSC: 3V031 JOB TITLE: VISUAL INFORMATION APPRENTICE
AFSC: 4U031 JOB TITLE: ORTHOTIC APPRENTICE
Being realistic and all, could I actually have a chance in getting of these jobs above? These all seemed really cool but like a job that'd be pretty much impossible to get.
Few more questions, which aptitude area would be the smartest to choose, General or electronics? General seems to have more choices in it but then again general has feared jobs like being a cook and a cop.
Also, I heard it is best to join the air force between october and febuary because there are alot fewer people joining and i'll have a much better variety of jobs to pick from whether be in MEPS or BMT. Is this true or does it not matter and I should just join now instead of waiting? I also heard it would be a good idea because the fiscal year starts in october so I'd have a better chance in getting what I want from needy recruiters, true also??
And when I was looking at the job requirements for some of the jobs, it would list "knowledge" required for the job and then "Education" required for the job. When it says knowledge, is that what i'll be learning in tech school or is that something I need to know before joining the job? Or is the education requirement the only thing I need to have before getting the job?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
