I joined the Navy Reserves back In February and it is not for me. I am prior service having done active duty Army for 4 years and Army National Guard Mountain Infantry for 7 the Navy is just to foriegn an enity for me.
So question is can I switch from Navy Reserves to Army Reserves or Guard? I have been paid a $7,500 bonus and I know I will have to repay that to the Navy but can I get a bonus in the Guard or reserves that will off set the Navy bonus repayment. When i repay the Navy bonus do I have to pay the taxes back too?
I am looking to transfer to a Civil Affairs. Maybe Air Cav if they have infantry slots.
I am in Knoxville TN. I also have a masters degree and thinking about a commision.
