Ok, just to give everybody some info on me. I am a Corporal in the Marine Corps, served 2 Combat tours in Iraq, getting out and wanting to go to the Army. I talked to the recruiter and he said the only jobs that are availible to Prior Service is the Combat Arms specialty. I am wanting to get some advice because I am trying to decide to either go and be a Tank Crewman, or Infantry. I am a Radio Tech (25C) by trade in the Marines. But I have been with a Infantry unit for almost 3 years, and have done everything they have. So please give me some pointers. I am also wondering when do you see what duty station do you ask for?

For the army, unless you get a specific duty station in your enlistment contract you won't know until you are colse to finishing your training to include tech school. The recruiter cn probably give you more info on that. As for which job to chose out of the two, I think it would mainly depend upon what you want, if me I'd chose tank crew man simply because there is more to it that just plain infantry. I'm not hating on infantry, in fact if you chose tank crewman chances are you will still be doing the infantry training some with the way army units are intergrated today.

Since there may be a chance you will have to train in a different MOS, you will not get assigned your duty station until you are in training. If you were able to keep your MOS, you would know your duty station prior to signing your contract.
