Does anyone know if single moms can go in as officers? Thank you!

The recruiter today said that you couldnt regularly enlist if you have kids and are a single mom. He said it may be possible to go in as an officer but he did not know for sure.

What recruiter told you this? Are you sure that this was the only criteria that precluded someone from enlisting?
