As American forces are once again heading back to Afghanistan for as they say" to bring democracy to that country and a better life" are Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and AirForce brother and sisters in arms really worth any military member worth losing their life over? I have different feelings about this. I for one have no problem deploying again as I have done numerous times in my military career but what bothers me is if I shall lose my life over their what will the Army tell my 10 year old daughter and wife? I died for a worthy cause and it was a risk worth taking. I have been listening to the Generals and cilvilians who are running this war and they state that living among the Afghans and working beside them is a risk worth taking I beg to differ. Tell that to the family of the Soldier killed by an ANA Soldier who we trainied only have him go rogue. I.m sure he never expected to be killed by this individual. I don't mind fighting but to lose my life because some Generals want us to sleep and live among the population I have serious problems with that especially with so much corruption going on it's a joke and we're spining our wheels just listen and read the reports about the government and ANA Soldiers. I don't buy that crap for a minute and I want be politically correct. I 'm glad after this deployment I'm done and will retire gracefully but don't shoot be some BS and I for one I think any military members life is more important than some corrupt Afghan.
