Reading the Army Times as of late one would think our military has completely lost it's collective mind or at least it's focus. Let's see in the last few weeks the stories have focused on lifting DADT. Really?? Is this something we should be worried about currently?? Don't we have a war to fight? Thanks Army Times for at least giving us an up to date Poll on the numbers. But really how about an ACTUAL POLL showing the bottom line.. How about a Poll of the Gay and Lesbian community asking how many would now join if the ban was lifted? Something tells me that the numbers would be so insignificant (with less than 1% willing to serve now) as to not even warrant lifting the ban in the first place. I mean is the next Gay and Lesbian parade we see going to end at the recruiting stations the moment the ban is lifted?

Then this week we have "go back to wearing Class A's in the office. C'mon is this an issue?? So the ACU looks sloppy DIDN'T WE RAISE THIS ISSUE THE MOMENT THIS UNIFORM WAS CHOSEN??? Well guess what YOU BRASS chose the damned thing now wear it!!!!! If ashamned to be seen in it maybe you should have given at least partial concern for it when the troops were saying it was the most God Awful uniform (at least before the NEW CLASS A's took that position) when it was issued to begin with. Wow I am glad we pay $10,000 a month (the salary of a 4 Star) for such outstanding and warranted "leadership". Now I know what to wear when I come to work in the morning thanks for the tip guys. Now how about concentrating on fighting the damned wars?? Besides as long as less than 1% is doing the work of the other 99% I wouldn't care if they wore loin clothes to work as long as they did their damned jobs (something that you all seem INCAPABLE OF as of late).

Now we have the story of alcoholism rising in the ranks really with leadership this far out of touch is it any damned wonder as to why???? Let's see worn out troops, worn out equipment, suicides, alcoholism, nearly losing in Afghanistan, and we are going to worry about what we are wearing to the office, because the public says it looks sloppy?? Last I checked "Joe Public" wasn't the one fighting the war, and besides the quickest way to failure is to try and please everyone so can we stop it???

Now we learn that the LARGEST OFFENSIVE in the Afghanistan War started this month?? Wow! a day late and a dollar (well actually a few BILLION of them) short don't you think? Nine years into the damned thing and NOW YOU LAUNCH THE LARGEST OFFENSIVE??? Wow nine years of wearing the troops down to the breaking point, wearing out equipment, causing numerous suicides, deaths, ruined families, multiple deployments to and from theater and HEY NOW LET'S GET SERIOUS ABOUT FIGHTING THE WAR. Were the hell have you been the last nine years??? Where was this offensive when we first decided to fight this thing???

Really with today's leadership do we need any more actual enemies??

Either this or the Army Times has a vested interest in making our top Brass look like idiots. I mean really this is what I pay you guys $10,000 a month for? To decide what I am to wear to work in the mornings while we are at war? Glad to see my tax dollars being well spent, (actually with them and Congress I am beginning to wonder why we even have a federal government today) maybe tomorrow you can tell me what I wear to dinner??? The slacks or the jeans c'mon all you 4 stars I need some fashion advice. That and here's the latest 200 + years after the Revolution the Joint Chiefs finally launch an offensive against Great Britain. Yep tomorrow operation "gotcha" takes effect and we are going to seize London..
