Lowe’s and Home Depot are once again offering a 10 percent discount on purchases for those in the military community in honor of Veterans Day.
The Lowe’s offer applies to purchases up to $5,000, for all active, reserve and retired military members and their immediate families, according to the company’s Web site. Their discount is offered through Monday, Nov. 12. The maximum discount would be $500 on a $5,000 purchase. To qualify, you must show a valid military ID card. The offer doesn’t apply to Maytag Neptune laundry products, Maytag Ice20 refrigerators, Fisher & Paykel appliances, Dyson vacuums, John Deere products or Krups small appliances. The Home Depot offer is available for active-duty members, reserve, veterans and their families through Wednesday, Nov. 14. Coupons can be found in military publications, including the Nov. 12 editions of Army Times, Air Force Times, Marine Corps Times and Navy Times, which were published the week of Nov. 5. With the coupon, Home Depot customers can receive a 10 percent discount off their purchases of up to $2,000. The maximum discount would be $200 on a $2,000 purchase. Limitations are noted in the coupon. Article: http://www.militarytimes.com/news/20...ounts_071109w/ |

I'm not sure if Home Depot does this everywhere, but at least in the Marietta, GA area, Home Depot ALWAYS offers a 10% discount to veterans (with proper ID.) You just show ID to the cashier before completing your transaction. I have the Georgia drivers license that identifies me as a veteran (says "VET" under "TYPE".) I assume you could show dd-214 as well.

I just visited a HOME DEPOT store in Woodridge, IL. THEY were not honoring any discounts for Veterans. Yet they have signs posted thru out the store to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. IRONIC
