Army Captain Lies About Obama

The Military Times has nailed Army Capt. Jeffrey S. Porter for lying about Obama's recent visit to Afghanistan. These weren't minor inaccuracies, they were out and out lies. Let us hope that the Army will see to it that this morally unfit captain is soon a former captain.

Can we do the same for Obama, since he has been guilty of this in the past? Can our morally unfit politician become a former politician? I think its funny that he can dish it out, but he cant take it.

When I first read the email...I figured for sure the "Author" wasn't a real person. Turns out he was...and he fabricated much of the story...he's just a part-time amateur political hack.

Goes to show...most of what you read on the internet should be assumed false until proven otherwise.

Rereading it (the MilTimes Article), he says that the email was intended for his family and family only. I am inclined to believe that simply because when I was over there, a letter to my mother ended up (chopped for editing) in the Richmond Times. Needless to say, family can sometimes get a little overzealous on spreading rumors around that are really only intended for them and they sometimes take us a little to seriously. I would have to reread the email, but who knows how different it may be from the email he originally wrote his wife. Its like the telephone game the kids play, anyone can change the story at anypoint during the chain.

True...i can see that happening...of course, why would you make stuff up to just send to your family? I dunno...maybe he was trying to convince them.

On the other hand...he appears to have fessed up that much of his letter wasn't accurate, but he doesn't deny writing any of it. Or so it appears...

Nevertheless...I don't know why this one guy's perception would affect anyone anyway...obviously, people who are set in who they plan to vote for are going to see exactly what they wanna see when a candidate visits...

Since you didn't cite any of those lies by Obama in your post I assume that the Captain and you have a lot in common.

But I would agree with your premise if you demand the same thing from the mob at the White House, who took us to war with such a pack of lies that whatever Obama or the Captain have said is reduced to a pecadillo by a third grader. And didn't cost trillions of dollars, unnecessary death of US soldiers and close to a million Iraqis. Just a lame comparison, of course. Anybody cares about THAT?
