The new FLPP standard went into effect on 16 Aug 2006 increasing FLPP to up to $1000 per month for active duty and $500 for Guard and Reserve. It is a year later and the Guard is still not getting this money. NGB has not authorized this pay therefore the soldiers are still getting a paltry fifty some-odd dollars per month. I realize people say that I only work two days a month, but this is something I have to work on all the time to keep current or I'm not MOSq'ed. Anybody know anything about this?

It is that whole "up to" thing. It works that way with pretty much everything. If they put "up to" before a promise and your particular component cannot pay, they pay a lower amount. Sucks but it's the way it is.

Precisely! A similar thing happend to military firefighters...about 3 years ago (?) congress authorized hazardous duty pay for military firefighters. Last I checked about six months ago, they still weren't receiving it because it was unfunded by the services.

Anyone know if they have gotten the pay yet?
