ok i am a first term marine and i cant reenlist till fiscal year 2010 my original unit deployed since i didnt have enough time to deploy with them they sent me to another unit within our regiment which they did with alot of the marines in my unit. When i got to the unit they had just found out they were deploying again but they are not going till like the month after i re enlist but the unit now knows i wanna re enlist and go somewhere else so they are gettin mad that i wont extend with them even though i just got there so the people in my command in my shop are tryin to tell me if i dont extend with them they are gonna give me a page 11 and a reenlistment code to make it hard for me to reenlist or not goin to be at all there story always changes. I just wanna know if they can do it or if they can is there ways around it. I dont see why they could or not want me to reenlist. I never been in any trouble not even a adverse counseling. 4.7 4.7 average pros cons 300 pft two deployments and and 2 naval achievment medals and my mos is always needing people. If someone could help me out i would appreciate to relieve some of the stress thinking i cant reenlist. Semper FI

They're full of sh*t. They can't penalize you for not extending with them.

Who exactlly is telling you this? The 1stSgt? The Career Planner?

Asa part of your re-enlistment just request a PCS.

All the guys that are not extending are gonna be sent over to another unit in the battalion again way before they leave to deploy but i guess they are trying to scare me by telling me if i dont extend before they chop us over they will give me the 6105 and the re enlistment code before i go to the other unit in the battalion and before i can re enlist i am just trying to find out if they can. its comin from my mssgt in my shop.

I don't think he has any power over that code. Check with your Career Planner, it's your career and your choices not your MSgt's. If you haven't done anything wrong I don't think they can give you that code.
