LINCOLN, Neb. — A Nebraska Air National Guard airman serving at Offutt Air Force Base has been named the Air Force’s top senior sergeant.
Master Sgt. Tyrone F. Bingham is responsible for ensuring that pilots and crew members are current in all required training and flying hours while also managing their flight records.
Earlier this year, Bingham was named the Senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Year for the Air National Guard.
Bingham says he’s still getting used to the recognition, but he’s honored to receive the awards.
He says much of the credit for his recent success belongs to his fellow airmen in the 170th Group at Offutt.
Bingham recently completed a 120-day deployment to the Persian Gulf.
