Ok... so I joined the army July 31 in the DEP program and I was supposed to be shipping for BCT Sept. 23rd. Well my recruiter called me yesterday and told me that anyone who was supposed to ship the 22nd or later won't be shipping right now and that I should be on stand by (I take this as, have my stuff packed and ready to go at a moments notice.) The reason I am posting this here is because I live in Pittsburgh PA and the upcoming G-20 summit coincides with when I was supposed to be shipping. I wanted to kno if anyone else who was to ship Sept. 22nd or later has received this same information or if it only applies to us here in Pittsburgh! I was crushed to hear that I wouldn't be able to ship as scheduled, I was so excited to finally be leaving and doing something other than sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting, well that and running doing sit ups and push ups and having late night calls with my fiancee who is currently stationed over in Korea and is very good to give me any support and information I may need, but when I told him he even had a "WTF?!" moment so >.<!
