After five years of generals trying to explain what the motto means and of soldiers coming up with sarcastic, alternative slogans the Army has decided the Army of One is a zero.
What is your idea for an Army recruiting slogan?

Maybe if people would stop trying to find nothing but negatives about the military they wouldn't have such a hard time enjoying it. I'm so sick and tired of hearing people complain about everything. seriously suck it up and take some pride in what you do, I mean you're soldiers for crying out load so either quit complaining or go away.

I tend to agree but not really sure about it either way..

I thought it was already changed to "Army Strong", which in itself is a pretty lame slogan.

army of one.. and if you join it will be an army of 2. (i heard that on tv)
a fellow airman once said when he went to meps a army recruit was teasing him for joining the easy branch of the military and he said "at least i will have people to back me up, unlike the army of one."
either way "army strong" is a more logical slogan.

Oh...I think a little sarcasm and cynicism are going to come with any slogan.
"Army Strong" could sell deodorant too!
We have to remember that this is a recruiting slogan...it is designed to get people who are not in the Army, interested in joining.
I remember a story...not sure if it's true..and not sure if it was about the "Army of One" slogan
But, reportedly...as the advertising firm pitched the new slogan to Army leadership of "Army of One"...one of the General's said "I don't get it, that wouldn't make me wanna join the Army."
The pitch man replied, "Well, sir, we aren't trying to recruit YOU."
