Thank you MADAMESINCERE, I was not aware that (1) there was extra training to be had, and (2) sometimes people loose a rank or so when switching to the Army.
I know I lost a lot of rank when I switched branches but thats because the Air Force believes it is harder to earn rank in their branch and that the level of responsibility/per/rank is much higher in the Air Force. I say BS! But, my opinion don't matter much, does it. As a Sgt (E-5) in the Corps I had much more responsibility than as an A1C (E-3) in the Air Force, but somehow using their super-duper number crunching aiming high machine, they equated the two, and ***poof*** 3 rockers became 2 stripes ![]() |

The point is too never feel hunger pains and be comfortable throughout the day, or else with these bodybuilders limited body fat, they would also be pulling calories from their muscles when the fat is depleted, thereby hindering what they are trying to accomplish. But I have to agree with someone who posted the fact that eating 5,000 calories worth of "good" food is no where near the same as eating 5,000 calories worth of fast food as you suggested...unless you want to weigh 300-400 pounds of fat with bad arteries. |

The Marine Corps, nor any of the other services are churning out bodybuilders My point was that there was both fit and unfit people in all categories of all branches, regardless of the current PT assigned to that branch An AF vs Corps CFT isnt even close to being a 100 percent Corps win as there will probably be only in shape individuals who want to participate in it. The Corps isnt churning out marathon runners either seeing as how it was a Navy guy and an AF guy who won first and second place if I remember correctly in the Corps Marathon |

Even as an E6 in the Navy, I have no problem acknowledging the fact that as Staff NCO's, the Staff Sergeant of Marines is the E6 with the most responsibility - the kind that doesn't get delegated to those in the other services until they make E7. At E7, the prestige goes to the Navy Chief, and from what I've seen, the prestige goes to the Army First Sergeant at the E8 level (while I was stationed at Ft Sam Houston, it looked to me like First Sergeants were gods).

I've been in 3 years, I'm not a fuck up and I'm still a E-3. My Army counterparts have been in the same time, and same are E-5s. Yeah, I would say the Air Force is justified when it believes it's rank structure is a bit more difficult than the other branches. We don't get stripes just for being shit hot at a board. |
