Hey man yeah my cancellatiion RIP was turned in last week. I continue to pursue answers but it doesn't look like all of us will be there by even January. Keep me updated on your situation, I have since ceased out processing.

Yeah... just spoke to AFPC and my MPF about all this. My Cancelation RIP hasn't pushed through yet but that I need to stop my out processing. They gave me the number to retraining as well. So... I'll call them up Monday if I don't get a voice to call me first. This sucks... time to buy a six pack and head to the house.

So I was in contact with AFPC and the school house today, and this is what i learned. First things first, finding someone who actually knows their job, or doesn't pawn it on another section in the MPF, is like finding out Brian J Pharris isn't a pompous ass-munch...Not gonna happen.
But anyway, I contacted the training manager for the 315th and he told me that the 1n1 course had been split into two different courses: The 17 academic day X3AQR1N131A00AA Geospatial-Intelligence Analyst Fundamentals course, and the 83 academic day X3ABR1N131AOOAA Geospatial-Intelligence Analyst course. With no break in between courses, which make it a PCS. I guess all 1n1's will go through the first course and then we split into our A, and B shreds for the next then go our separate ways. Here is the tricky part. So don't panic Ok! When I talked to AFPC they said the new course codes had not been loaded as of today, but they must have gotten an order to cancel the old courses...hence the rescheduling limbo identifier (8). What's more troubling is that MILPDS requires them to, in effect cancel the retraining action. It was explained to me like this. The way the system sees us is, if there is no course code to load us under...then there is no course to put us in...if there is no course to put us in, then there is no retraining action to be had. So they have to take us out of retraining status...to put us into retraining status.( Military bureaucracy...i love it!!) This is why Lt was told not to out process. The system shows no retaining course loaded in his profile so they can't and won't cut orders. The worst is that no one talks to anyone, they( MPF) just sit and wait to be notified by AFPC. The school house said that the course realignment shouldn't affect our class dates. But this was before i spoke with AFPC. So someone needs to load the damned codes and it should iron things out. As for retraining, formal training and outbound, they wouldn't know their Brian J Pharris from a hole in the wall. So don't waste your time. The only thing they can do is cut your orders. Lastly, I had my UTM call the AFSOC 1n1 functional to see what can be done on this end...maybe they can call the AFPC functional and let him or her know what a stinking mess this is. I hope this helps Later Gators! Last edited by Soundhound : Yesterday at 03:40 AM. Reason: Brian J Pharris is an ass munch |

Not sure if anyone has posted this link, but go to http://www.familysupportgoodfellow.org/ to find out all the info you need on pcsing to Goodfellow. Not sure, but I think y'all in the new course may be coming in TDY status but am not sure. There is also info on BAH waivers and all kinds of good info.

I just talked to my finance section. I am ANG to give you a basis. My flight chief said it was now a TDY. This means that for us, we get active duty pay, BAH to our HOR, BAS AND FAMILY SEPARATION and then we also get per diem to cover lodging, food and incidentals. I suspect that active duty folks will be looking a getting orders to their next base for their new AFSC with a TDY in route for training... if I remember the process correctly.. or is it PCS to school with a follow-on to the new location?
I can't wait to get my school date... so close, sometime between mid-Jan and mid-Feb my security clearance should get approved. |
