Default More Troops to Afghanistan Means More Air Force Bodies

Okay, so, here's the deal for you Army folks who have been benefiting from free Air Force bodies since 9/11...

If the USAF ever had a Chief of Staff with some balls, he would've told the Army years ago that the free ride is over. Just because the Army screwed up their combat support ratios doesn't mean that we all should suffer.

The Army has been getting a free ride from the AF and Navy with thousands of enlisted and non-rated bodies, AND IT SHOULD END NOW.

Questions?

because when the war happens, its only the Army and Marines that should be doing the dying... this post is sleezy and no one service should be excluded from the experience.

As one of those "free rides" the Army has been getting from the Navy, I'll tell you to shut the hell up and don't speak for the rest of us who have no problem supporting the war effort in whatever manner is available to us.

Actually... NOT! You suffer less casualties because the vast majority of you never go into harms way and there are incredibly less of you than there are of us. The main exceptions are the Forward Air Controllers (TACP) but even most of them never leave the FOB nowadays. Heck most of your UAV controllers work stateside at places like March AFB and still claim PTSD (gimme a break).

Oh, come on! We all know that when we arrive, we have our little pee-pee flap on our kevlar, our shoulder and neck gear, etc., but soon remove them because .... well, because they suck and make our live's miserable. I guess you, on the other hand, walk around looking like a Storm Trooper. Good on you - its Halloween soon anyways, enjoy your fantasy!

This thread sucks and some comments on here are downright disgusting!

I am appauled that anyone would diminish our fallen heroes.

Inter-service rivalry is one thing (and it is quite healthy) but to take sucker punches at our fallen brothers, you suck!

I thought I was done typing then decided I have 1 more thing to say. You seem very intelligent by my reading many, MANY of your posts. Still, you lack any sort of common sense or interpersonal skills. I imagine you got your ass kicked alot in school, huh? Well, such as it is --- I am sure I'm on your "sniper" list.

2) its not that they died because of being stupid per se. But A LOT of deaths could have been PREVENTED because ive EYEWITNESSED COMPLACENCY AMONG TROOPS
getting complacent can KILL you.
NEVER get complacent
That means DOUBLE CHECKING that suspicious "rock" thats "probably nothing"
That means always wearing all protective gear
That means making your weapon in good working order
That means making sure your flashlight and NVG's have fresh batteries in them
So when I say that ive witnessed people just wanting to get a long mission over and done with quickly instead of taking extra precautions, i mean that lives could have been saved.
I dont expect you to understand if youve never been in my shoes
I forget you claim to have NEVER done anything wrong. You live by your checklist, you follow each rule unfortunately NO ONE gave you that check list for when you need to SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE occasionally. No one is perfect, Death is to be mourned. Perhaps at learned from. BUT to speak ILL of the dead serves no purpose. The men and women who died were flesh and blood, someone grieves for them.
So when you see people BEING complacent.... DO YOU as a BROTHER in ARMS double check them.
Do you have THEIR BACK? DO you check the rock or do you just LET THEM go knowing in your head it might be a trap?
Thanks for reiminding me you are still a misogynist, and as for not being in your shoes>> NOPE.

A complete disgrace to your uniform, and men. Why are you still in the service??? I know mikey~ We all know.

and once again, im NOT "speaking ill of the dead". I'm saying some deaths could have been prevented by always following all regulations.

Is saying that driving drunk somehow "dishonoring" the drunk drivers who died when it could have been prevented?

Drunk driving kills, thats not a disrespectful statement AT ALL

Complacency kills, that is also NOT a disrespectful statement AT ALL
