Uh oh...it would appear the staff are about to take on my suggestion to end this madness after all. Criminals beware!

Off topic suggestion Alice, but is there anything that we can do about the PM features? We need a "reply all" button.

THANK YOU!! I'm glad someone said it because I was thinking the same thing.

I second this suggestion.

I might be able to help you with the cutting down on spam. I had a board in the past that after we added a few options the spam ceased to exist. You guys must be doing a good job though because I am new here but only saw one Iphone spam which may have been manual spam anyways.

I forgot to post the links up, I posted them in the other thread where someone had spammed. Here are two plugins for the Vbulletin system that should eliminate almost all spam.

As several of us have actually asked about this I'm gonna ask on here and find out what you think about it alice that way we will know what direction to take with the scenarios in the future.

We have had several new members lately join and have links in their profiles to their page where they are selling things.
Which raises the question....is this considered spam? Is it only considered spam if they talk about it in a post?
Or is it spam for merely being in their signature AND if they TRULY wanted to be a member of the forum with no hidden agenda then should they be asked to remove the link to their products page?

What say oh thee Alice?

Frankly, I think Alice needs help. With as many posts popping up on here in a given time, it's darned near impossible to regulate with one person. If MilitaryTimes.com doesn't want to pay for another administrator, perhaps they should consider promoting an active member or two in good standing to be a an admin to assist Alice with her job. That's how it's done on any other message board I belong to. Alice could hire and fire admins as she sees fit, based on them doing their job correctly without being a tyrant.

Default Continous and Repeated Spamming

Alice--

At the risk of being considered a pesky pest; isn't it way past time to:

1. Clean up on aisle 5, etc., etc., etc.

2. Take some appropriate administrative action(s) to deter this site from becoming one of the largest SPAM magnets on the web ?
