Default Obama Honors the Fallen at Dover.

Standing there saluting is not honoring them enough! How about he stop dragging his feet and give the requested surge numbers. How many more dead does he need to see before he understands the numbers are needed not only for mission accomplishment but for the very safety of our service people over there? AND, someone needs to give him a history lesson on ROE's and teach him that having to get permission to fire on the enemy kills our troops (Oct 23, 1983 should suffice as a lesson in that thought track.) Do we really want to go back to the 1980's way of thinking? We know the enemy is going to use the innocent as their shield and thus collateral damage is going to happen, but to outright deny support is going to continue to get our people killed, just as it recently did when air and arty support was denied for our Marines pinned down in a fire fight.

To not give to the surge numbers and not lifting the ROE's is out right criminal and the POTUS should be held accountable. As I said when Obama first took office, I feel it is wrong to have a POTUS who has zero military service and a number of reasons.

I see some crap about to fly through on this one. But I completely agree. Let the men on the ground make the calls, not the suits.

Im not an Obama supporter...but I saw the picture of him saluting, and man did he make that guy next to him look unprofessional. Obama had a good, crisp, and sharp posture on his salute and this Army guy (I can only assume he is a pretty high ranking member of the brass) looks like Gomer Pile taught him how to salute.

Only two Presidents in the last 64 years have not served in the military. Clinton and Obama. Draw your own conclusions.

I saw it and thought the same thing!!! haha!

But, I don't think theres no need to disrespect President Obama for honoring those men. I give him props for it, because I'm sure he could have been doing plenty of other "stuff". But, he chose to be there, to salute, and to honor those men. President Obama's delayment on sending more troops, or the current ROE's couldnt have prevented those deaths. It was a helicopter that crashed and the two vehicles that got struck by roadside bombs that killed our fellow brothers. So don't blame President Obama. Yes, he needs to make a decision, and make some changes, but as a topic already being discussed, we cant just nose dive into Afghanistan full force with all our troops with no clear mission. We can only be hopeful that the wise man was right when he said "Good things come to those who wait."

Oh Christ Bush hid during his whole military career and look what he did?
I am glad Obama is taking his time to make a smart strategic decision, I mean what is our goal in Afghan?
He just saw what happens in war and he honored them. Now he is going to have a clear goal and he (along with many others) need to decide what we are doing in Afghan, and what we hope to accomplish before he sends more troops over, who haven't had their dwell time for their 2nd 3rd or 4th tours ................

Yeah, I was joking about the Bush thing, hence the at the end.

But Bush's issues do not excuse Obama's inaction. I know why he doesnt have a plan for Afghanistan, because he has been too busy facilitating the made up crisis that we have to have galactic healthcare now or we are doomed, or that we have to implement cap and trade or the world will explode...Afghanistan is not a priority for him except for when the media pressures him on it. Thats why we are getting the "uhhh umm hang on let me think about this one for a second." from the White House.

Piss poor management. Just like Bush...and you voted for change?
