Yeah, well you'll have to take your "change" in Pesos as little-man Bush Jr. done contracted everything South of the Border.

Props for the POTUS coming out to witness a Dignified Transfer at Dover. What those Marines, Airmen, Sailors and Soldiers (short of this high-ranking douche on the photo) do at Dover is nothing short of remarkable! My heart, cover, crisp salute, and mug of beer goes up and out to those Dover-based servicemembers!

Again, what is the difference between him and Obama there?

Sorry, I save my Props for when people do things above and beyond expectation. I cant give props to Obama for doing what he should have been doing anyway. Big deal. Actually, since everything Bush did was wrong according to many people, then doing this should be wrong too...as well as talking with the families. Bush did those things too.

Dude, there's a Dignified Transfer almost every night at Dover - most days of the week. If the POTUS attended every one of them, he'd pretty much live at Dover. I don't care Left or Right and hate to use this forum for personal agendas. I think it is nice to see the President there.

Im not asking him to be there 24/7, but I do expect him to show up every once in a while. Hes doing things right there, about the only thing he is doing right. Again...I cant give him props for actually doing his job. I hope this puts things into perspective for him since other things seem to be more important to him than the war. Of course we see where hope has gotten us.

Is it a coincidence that he went for the first one to be allowed media coverage?

What does that bottom quote by Shrike have to do with anyting?

On the upper - we can agree to disagree. I'm just saying that if you, and most others, intend to use this forum to push their political agendas it is falling on deaf ears from at least this guy.

To me, the CINC is the CINC and I'd have saluted Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama or whoever comes along next. On that note, I'll salute the PM of UK, PM of JAPAN, etc., etc., etc. ...... there's no room for personal agendas in this DoD! My $0.02.

What are you talking about? Sec Gates started allowing Media to cover Dignified Transfers in May of 2009. There has been dozens (close to 100) with Media coverage since then. There was no significant reason for his showing.

I've been to those at Dover in June and July of 2009 ---- all w/ a ton of Media. Media from the Right, Left, CNN, Fox, BBC, Al Jazeera, blah, blah, blah.... this is not a coincidence at all! Where did you get this info from dude?

Its an aviation thing I guess, but its part of my signature and not the discussion. (my nomination for post of the year)

Not to marginalize you, but Ive pretty much given up on all journalists...unfortunately, your job field is full of frauds and liars, most of whom push their political agendas daily. Its a sad thing, but whatever.

Cool your jets kid, Im not someone who says that Obama isnt my president and that I dont recognize his authority, but I do disagree with him almost across the board because I feel that he represents the anti-thesis of the constitution and the intent and spirit of his nation. He isnt alone. Bush was the same way, the vast majority of congress is the same way...everyone in political power seems to want to run everyone elses life. Do NOT mistake my beliefs with those of sedition. And I agree, there is no room for personal agendas in the DOD but there is plenty of room for personal OPINIONS. If you cannot distinguish the difference, then you can easily fall into the stereotype I laid out earlier conserning journos.

Are you glibly referring to NAFTA? Because otherwise I have no frigging clue what your post meant.

((BTW: If you were referring to NAFTA, I suggest you check into who signed the agreement.))
