  • Army Pfc. Armando Soriano, 20, of Houston; assigned to the howitzer battery, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.; attached to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; killed while traveling in a two-vehicle convoy on a supply route Feb. 1 when weather conditions caused his vehicle to slide off the road and roll over in Haditha, Iraq.

  • Army Staff Sgt. Roger C. Turner Jr., 37, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed in his sleeping quarters Feb. 1 when the logistical support area came under mortar attack in Anaconda, Iraq.

  • Army 2nd Lt. Seth J. Dvorin, 24, of New Jersey; assigned to Battery B, 3rd Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, based at Fort Drum, N.Y.; killed Feb. 3 when an improvised explosive device exploded while he was conducting counter-IED operations along a supply route in Iskandariyah, Iraq.

  • Army Spc. Joshua L. Knowles, 23, of Sheffield, Iowa; assigned to the 1133rd Transportation Company, Army National Guard, Mason City, Iowa; killed Feb. 5 when he was hit by a mortar round at a Baghdad International Airport checkpoint.

  • Army Staff Sgt. Richard P. Ramey, 27, of Canton, Ohio; assigned to the 703rd Ordinance Company, Fort Knox, Ky., supporting the 82nd Airborne Division; killed Feb. 8 when an improvised explosive device detonated in Mahmudiyah, Iraq.

  • Army Sgt. Thomas D. Robbins, 27, Schenectady, N.Y.; assigned to Troop A, 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment (Stryker), Fort Lewis, Wash.; killed Feb. 9 when a collection of unexploded ordinance, rocket-propelled grenades and mortar rounds detonated while being moved to a demolition point in Sinjar, Iraq.

  • Arizona Army National Guard Sgt. Elijah Tai Wah Wong, 42, of Mesa, Ariz.; assigned to the 363rd Explosive Ordnance Company, Army National Guard, Casa Grande, Ariz.; killed Feb. 9 when a collection of unexploded ordnance, rocket-propelled grenades and mortar rounds detonated while being moved to a demolition point in Sinjar, Iraq.

  • Air Force Master Sgt. Jude C. Mariano, 39, of Vallejo, Calif.; assigned to the 615th Air Mobility Operations Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; died Feb. 10 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Doha, Qatar.

  • Army Pfc. William C. Ramirez, 19, of Portland, Ore.; assigned to Troop E, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, La.; killed Feb. 11 by an improvised explosive device while on a mounted patrol in Baghdad.

  • Army Sgt. Patrick S. Tainsh, 33, of Oceanside, Calif.; assigned to Troop E, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, La.; killed Feb. 11 by an improvised explosive device while on a mounted patrol in Baghdad.

  • Army Spc. Eric U. Ramirez, 31, of San Diego, Calif.; assigned to the 670th Military Police Company, Army National Guard, National City, Calif.; killed Feb. 12 when he was attacked by small-arms fire, a rocket-propelled grenade and an improvised explosive device in Abu Ghraib, Iraq.

  • Army Sgt. Nicholes D. Golding, 24, of Addison, Maine; assigned to C Company, 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.; killed in an anti-tank mine explosion on Feb. 13, 2004, in Afghanistan.

  • Army Pvt. Bryan Nicholas Spry, 19, of Chestertown, Md.; assigned to D Comany, 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; killed Feb. 13 when his vehicle rolled into a water-filled ditch in Baghdad.

  • Army Pfc. Nichole M. Frye, 19, of Lena, Wis.; assigned to Company A, 415th Civil Affairs Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve, Kalamazoo, Mich.; killed Feb. 16 when an improvised explosive device struck her convoy in Baqubah, Iraq.

  • Army Spc. Michael M. Merila, 23, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash.; died Feb. 16 when his convoy was hit by an improvised explosive device in Talifar, Iraq.

  • Alabama Army National Guard Spc. Christopher M. Taylor, 25, of Daphne, Ala.; assigned to the 1165th Military Police Company, Army National Guard, Fairhope, Ala.; attached to the 18th Military Police Brigade; killed Feb. 16 when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy in Baghdad.

  • Army 2nd Lt. Jeffrey C. Graham, 24, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, Fort Riley, Kan.; killed Feb. 19 of injuries sustained from small-arms fire and an improvised explosive device attack in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

  • Army Sgt. 1st Class Henry A. Bacon, 45, of Wagram, N.C.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 10th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 4th Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed Feb. 20 when he was struck by a recovery vehicle while he was assisting a disabled vehicle in Dujayl, Iraq.

  • Army Spc. David E. Hall, 21, of Uniontown, Kan.; assigned to 805th Military Police Company, 16th Military Police Brigade, U.S. Army Reserve, Raleigh, N.C.; died in a non-hostile accident on Feb. 25 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

  • Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Stephen M. Wells, 29, of North Egremont, Mass.; assigned to the 4th Squadron, Outlaw Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.; killed Feb. 25 when the OH-58 helicopter in which he was flying crashed in Habbinayah, Iraq.

  • Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Matthew C. Laskowski, 32, of Phoenix, Ariz.; assigned to the 4th Squadron, Outlaw Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.; killed Feb. 25 when the OH-58 helicopter in which he was flying crashed in Habbinayah, Iraq.
