Koch, 23, of Milltown, N.J.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; killed March 3 in the Sabari District of Afghanistan of wounds sustained during combat operations. Also killed was Sgt. Robert T. Rapp.

Rapp, 22, of Sonora, Calif.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; killed March 3 in the Sabari District of Afghanistan of wounds sustained during combat operations. Also killed was Cpl. Steven R. Koch.

  • Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Frost, 24, of Waukesha, Wis.; assigned to 377th Air Base Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.; killed March 4 near Bayji, Iraq, in an Iraqi Army Mi-17 helicopter crash. The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.

Paniagua-Morales, 22, of Bell Gardens, Calif.; assigned to the 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.; died March 7 in Balad, Iraq, of wounds sustained in Samarra, Iraq, when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

Also killed were Staff Sgt. Ernesto G. Cimarrusti, Staff Sgt. David D. Julian, Cpl. Robert T. McDavid and Cpl. Scott A. McIntosh.

  • Army Cpl. William D. O’Brien, 19, of Rice, Texas; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.; died March 15 in Baghdad from wounds sustained when he was attacked by small arms fire during combat operations.

Elledge, 41, of Brownsburg, Ind.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died March 17 in Baghdad, Iraq, from wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device during combat operations. Also killed was Spc. Christopher C. Simpson.

Simpson, 23, of Hampton, Va.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died March 17 in Baghdad, Iraq, from wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device during combat operations. Also killed was Staff Sgt. Michael D. Elledge.

  • Army Pfc. Antione V. Robinson, 20, of Detroit; assigned to the 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died March 19 in Nawa, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when the vehicle he was repairing collapsed.

  • Army Pvt. Tyler J. Smith, 22, of Bethel, Maine; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died Mar. 21 at Forward Operating Base Falcon near Baghdad of wounds sustained when the base received indirect fire.

  • Air Force Tech Sgt. William H. Jefferson Jr., 34, of Norfolk, Va.; assigned to the 21st Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, N.C.; died March 21 near Sperwan Ghar, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

Also killed was Pfc. Patrick J. Miller.

Miller, 23, of New Port Richey, Fla.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.; died March 29 in Baghdad from wounds sustained when he encountered an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. Also killed was Cpl. Durrell L. Bennett.

  • Army Sgt. Jevon K. Jordan, 32, of Norfolk, Va.; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died March 29 in Abu Jassim, Iraq, when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

  • Army Staff Sgt. Keith M. Maupin, 24, of Batavia, Ohio; assigned to the 724th Transportation Company, Bartonville, Ill.; the armed forces medical examiner confirmed March 29 that human remains recovered in Iraq were those of Maupin, who had been listed as missing-captured since April 16, 2004. Maupin’s convoy came under attack by individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire April 9, 2004.

  • Marine Lt. Col. William G. Hall, 38, of Seattle; assigned to the 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; died March 30 in Baghdad from wounds sustained while conducting combat operations.

  • Army Sgt. Dayne D. Dhanoolal, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.; died March 31 in Baghdad from wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
