Jeff McKinney's lasting legacy
With 117 active-duty suicides in 2007 — the highest on record and an increase of 13 over 2006 — Army officials say combat has filled soldiers' cups to the brim, and the stressors of deployment are making them overflow.
1st Sgt. Jeff McKinney was one of them. He committed suicide in front of his troops in Iraq last summer. The video shows McKinney with his wife and new baby when he was home on his two-week leave from Iraq.
